Life in my Future Career

Strategic Presentation: Course Reflection

Strategic Presentation is turning out to be one of the most useful classes at Rutgers. In the class, I am using skills that will help me in any job in the future. The skills will also help me get a job and I am adding these skills to my resume.

Creating a Website

The final assignment in Strategic Presentation is creating a professional website. Since I am trying to get an internship in Information Technology or Data Science, this is very important for me to build. I hope to send out my website address to internships that I find at this week’s Rutgers Career Fair. Strategic Presentation class gives me the chance to work on tasks that will benefit me in real life.

On my professional website, I am going to include a homepage with my photo and a design. I am going to upload my resume on the Experience page. On the About Me page, I will talk more about my hobbies and link to some of my posts from Strategic Presentation class. On the Projects page, I am going to link to the projects I am working on in Object Oriented Programming and Fundamentals of Data Curation and Management. I will also edit and link to my LinkedIn page to try and get an internship. My instagram profile is fun for me and shows my posts related to my hobby, fantasy football predictions and the fun I have with the Marching Scarlet Knights.

Creating a Podcast

In Strategic Presentation, I created a podcast using Audacity. This helped me with public speaking. I liked creating the background music for the podcast since music is one of my hobbies.

Canva

In Strategic Presentation, I also learned Canva. I use Canva for social media posts, and to create the logo for my podcast.

Screencast

In Strategic Presentation, I also learned how to make a screencast. This helped me with my public speaking and will hopefully help me in my life.

In conclusion, Strategic Presentation is a very useful class that will help me in real life. I had a great time making the podcast and recommend the class to other Rutgers students!
